2 Day Nyungwe National park safari tour itinerary

Day 1: Nyungwe National Park

Morning drive to the western province, on your way visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province and later head for an enroute lunch. After lunch you head to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk, on the 60 meters suspended metallic bridge, which gives you a great view of the entire forest. Dinner and overnight at Emeraude Kivu Resort or similar

Day 2: Kigali

After breakfast, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe for chimpanzee trekking. The park is the home to 13 species of primates. You will proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch at the hotel and transfer back to Kigali to your lodge or to the airport
