Day 1: Awash National Park

After breakfast, drive for abt 4 hrs to Awash National Park for lunch. Here we have the opportunity to spot a great variety of birds and mammals in the savannah as well as crocodiles living at the river. We will enjoy an impressive sunset over the Awash gorge. Dinner and Overnight at Awash Falls Lodge (www.awashfallslodge.net) or similar

Day 2: Harar

Early morning game drive then drive for some 328 kms (8 hours) to Harar, stopping at Avadai, Ethiopia’s biggest Khat market, and Dire Dawa. In the evening, you will see the “Hyena Man” feeding the hyenas that gather every night outside the town. You will be invited to participate. Dinner and overnight at Ras Hotel or Wonderland Hotel or similar in Harar

Day 3: Full Day in Harar

Today, we have full day in Harar to discover the 16^th century walled city. It is the 4^th most important city in the Islamic World and a UNESCO world heritage site. We visit the home of Arthur Rimbaud, the renowned French poet who lived in Harar, the National and Harari museums, the house of Ras Mekonnen (the father of Haile Selassie), traditional Harari homes, the market and other interesting places. Dinner and overnight at Ras Hotel or Wonderland Hotel or similar

Day 4: Addis Ababa

After breakfast, drive to Addis Ababa.
