Day 1: Aledeghi National Park

Morning drive for some 267 kms to Aledeghi National Park arriving for lunch at Doho Lodge. After lunch, we shall see a

great variety of birds and mammals as well as hippos. Theere is a fantastic hot spring to view. Dinner and overnight at Doho Lodge (www.doholodge.com) or similar in Aledeghi National Park

Day 2: Awash National Park

Early morning game drive. After breakfast, drive for some 60 kms to the Awash National Park to arrive at the Awash Park Lodge located next to the Awash Falls for lunch. After lunch, we will have the opportunity to spot a great variety of birds and mammals in the savanna as well as crocodiles living at the river. We will enjoy an impressive sunset over the Awash River gorge. Dinner and overnight at Awash Falls Lodge (www.awashfallslodge.net) or similar in Awash National Park

Day 3: Harar

After early morning game drive and breakfast, we shall drive for some 328 kms (8 hrs) to Harar with a stop over at Avadai, which is Ethiopia’s biggest Khat market, and Dire Dawa. In the evening, you will see the “Hyena Man” feeding the hyenas that gather nightly outside the town. You may willingly participate in feeding them. Dinner and overnight at Ras Hotel or Wonderland Hotel or Heritage Plaza Hotel or Rewda Guesthouse or similar

Day 4: Full Day in Harar

Today, we have full day in Harar to discover the 16^th century walled city of Harar, which is the 4^th most important city in the Islamic World and a UNESCO world heritage site. We shall visit the home of Arthur Rimbaud, the renowned French poet who lived in Harar, the National and Harari museums, the house of Ras Mekonnen (the father of Haile Selassie), traditional Harari homes, the market etc. Dinner and overnight at Ras Hotel or Wonderland Hotel or Heritage Plaza Hotel or Rewda Guesthouse or similar

Day 5: Addis Ababa

After breakfast, transfer to the local airport for your domestic flight to Addis Ababa.
