3 Day Akagera national park and Lake Kivu safari

Day 1: Akagera National Park

Morning drive to Akagera National Park for morning game drive and lunch at the lodge. Alter lunch, enjoy a short siesta before departing for an afternoon game drive in search of animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffe, zebras, leopards, hyenas and lions. This park is also home to a variety of antelope species, including bushbucks, topis, oribis, waterbuck, roan, duiker, bohor, reedbuck, klipspringer, impala and the world’s largest antelope, the cape eland. In the evening you have the option to go on an optional cultural tour or nature walk. Dinner and Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge or similar

Day 2: Akagera – Lake Kivu

After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Kivu in Kibuye. Kibuye is a verdant tropical area surrounded by hills covered in eucalyptus and pine. Lake Kivu is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Africa’s Great Rift Valley and the largest lake in Rwanda. You will enjoy a boat ride here and relax on the shore. Later you enjoy a nature walk around the lake. Dinner and overnight at Rwiza Village Hotel or similar

Lake Kivu – Kigali

After breakfast, drive to Kigali and visit the Gisozi memorial site and the local handicraft market. Transfer to the airport
