Day 1: Akagera National Park Game Drive

Morning drive to Akagera National Park for morning game drive and lunch at the lodge. Alter lunch, enjoy a short siesta before departing for an afternoon game drive in search of animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffe, zebras, leopards, hyenas and lions. This park is also home to a variety of antelope species, including bushbucks, topis, oribis, waterbuck, roan, duiker, bohor, reedbuck, klipspringer, impala and the world’s largest antelope, the cape eland. In the evening you have the option to go on an optional cultural tour or nature walk. Dinner and Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge or similar

Day 2: Nyungwe Forest National Park

After early breakfast, drive to Nyungwe forest with a visit to Nyanza King’s Palace enroute. This is a National Museum of Butare and Nyanza which was the headquarters of the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans. The compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934. It is tastefully decorated with the traditional mats and utensils. Dinner and overnight at 2000 Hotel or similar

Day 3: Kigali

After breakfast proceed to track colobus monkeys at the Nyungwe forest to learn more about the botany, ornithology, and interspecies relationships. Return to the lodge for your lunch. After lunch, drive back to Kigali and visit the Gisozi memorial site. the local handicraft market. Transfer to the airport
