Day 1: Mount Kenya

Clients arrive in Nairobi according to their flight /train details. Met and greeted by our customer care team.

Offered mineral water and welcome drinks. Immediately drive to Mount Kenya region. Mount Kenya (5,199m)is Kenya’s highest mountain ,a national icon, a climbers Mecca, the nation’s name sake, a  UNESCO Natural World Heritage site and a wildlife stronghold. One of the World’s highest national parks, it is also an extinct volcano some three and half a million years old and the sacred home of Ngai, God of Kikuyu people .Check in and lunch in the lodge. The open-air viewing-deck looks down on to its water hole and salt-lick, which attracts numerous herds of Elephant and Buffalo. There is also a tunnel leading to a photo-hide, which offers spectacular viewing and photographic opportunities just meters away from the wildlife at the water hole.

Raised on stilts above the forest canopy, a timbered drawbridge leads from the forest and up on to the wooden decks of the lodge. Inside, the impression of having boarded a ship is perpetuated by a combination of log paneled walls, timbered game-viewing decks and winding stairs leading to a selection of snugly comfortable, cabin-styled rooms.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Breakfast in the lodge then drive to the plains of Mount Kenya until you arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Host to all members  of the Big Five(elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard),the conservancy has a higher  wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and  is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded  in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species. Proceed to the lodge for your buffet lunch. Afternoon will be at leisure in the lodge.

Day 3: Lake Bogoria

Breakfast in lodge, then drive to lake Bogoria. Lake Bogoria is located in the Northern Kenya Rift Valley. The lake is famous for the pink flamingoes which are found in large numbers. Geothermal activity in the form of hot springs and geysers are located on the western shore. Lake Bogoria has the largest number of geysers in Africa. Lake Bogoria is possibly the most interesting of the Kenyan Rift Valley lakes. The lake is 17*3.5km,and occupies a narrow ,asymmetric half-graben within the rift floor. Bogoria Escarpments rises 700m on the eastern side of the lake. A magnitude 7.0earthquake occurred at the lake in 1828.

Water in the Lake Bogoria derives from rainfall on the lake surface (750mm/yr), about 200 hot springs, and streams which feed into the lake. There is no surface outflow from the lake ,and most water is lost by evaporation(2600mm/yr),resulting in salinity more than twice that of sea water. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Bogoria Resort or similar.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park

Breakfast in the lodge then drive to Lake Nakuru national park. Lake Nakuru is a small, shallow, alkaline-saline lake located in a closed basin without outlets in the Eastern Rift valley of equatorial East Africa. Visit the baboon cliff view point from where you can view the lake below you. Lunch, dinner and Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar.

The Masai Mara (also called Maasai Mara) is a large game reserve in south-western Kenya, which is effectively the northern continuation of the Serengeti National park game reserve in Tanzania. Named after the Maasai people (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from a view point-“Mara”, which is Maa (Maasai language) for spotted: an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savannah and cloud shadows that mark the area.
