Day 1: Taita Hills Sanctuary

Early morning drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway on a picturesque drive, enjoying the scenery on the way to arrive at Tsavo East, we’ll take a short refreshment break as we anticipate sightings of wildlife ahead. The broad open plain, dotted with acacia scrub lends itself to game spotting. proceed to the watering holes where the wildlife gathers in this semi-arid reserve. The Aruba Dam is popular with the park’s animals and with safari-goers wishing to observe them in their natural settings. Look for buffalo, waterbuck, eland, impala and giraffe.

After lunch, we’ll take one last game drive here and then proceed to the Taita Hills Sanctuary. This is a privately-owned wildlife sanctuary where we shall be tracking the big game like lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe and smaller wildlife such as gazelle, impala, and dik-dik. Dinner and overnight at Bluff Lodge or Sarova Taita Hills Lodge or similar

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park

Early morning game drive to catch the unfolding drama of the wildlife is thrilling. This is the best time Later, after a full safari breakfast, we’ll do a bit more game watching as we exit the sanctuary and head upon the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, journeying to Tsavo East National Park for a game drive enroute to the lodge for lunch. Tsavo East national park, with its endless horizons and wild, rugged grasslands, offers endless opportunities for a memorable experience with abundant wildlife. The land here is open, making animal spotting an easier and relaxed experience. Look for lion, but also leopard, Cape buffalo, and the park’s great, red elephants, called so because they roll in the rusty-coloured soil found here. Afternoon game drive will be the game changer s you view animals. Dinner and overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge or similar

Day 3: Malindi

We’ll be up early to make the most of our game driving time. Traveling over the open savannah country here is an exhilarating experience and there’s nothing like the first animal sighting of the day. We shall visit the park’s famous watering holes which are the attractive spots, made even more compelling by the sight of the many animals drawn to the life-giving waters found here. Look for zebra, giraffe but also eland, impala and some of the park’s 500 species of birds. After lunch, drive back to your coastal hotel
