7 Days Tanzania Highlights tour itinerary

Day 1: Arusha National Park

Morning drive to Arusha National park for game drive with picnic lunch. Late afternoon drive to Arusha. Dinner and Overnight at Masai Camp or similar.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National park with picnic lunches for game drive. The park famous for the big herds of Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes and other animals.

Dinner and overnight at Jambo Campsite or similar

Day 3: Serengeti game reserve

After breakfast, collect picnic lunches and head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch at Nabi gate and enjoy the late 2hrs afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite or similar.

Day 4: Serengeti game reserve

After breakfast, collect picnic lunches and continue with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’, over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June the herds then make their return ward journey. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite or similar.

Day 5: Ngorongoro conservation area

An early breakfast, collect your picnic lunch boxes for another game drive through the central Serengeti until mid-day. After lunch leave the Serengeti to the southern part border of Ngorongoro and the famous Serengeti plains to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arrive there in late afternoon for sunset views. Dinner and Overnight at Simba Campsite or similar

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation area

An early morning breakfast, then descend into the crater floor (2000 feet) and drive through the lerai forest with its yellow-barked acacias, searching for giant-tusked elephant, rare black rhino and black-manned lion. Likely you may see the ”big five” – Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard. Late afternoon, drive to Lake Manyara escarpment. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 7: Arusha

After breakfast, drive with picnic lunches to the Lake Manyara National Park for full day game drives in the park. Late afternoon drive to Arusha .
