2 Days Volcanoes gorilla trekking safari tour itinerary

Day 1: Volcanoes National park.

Early drive to visit the Kigali local market, national museum, genocide memorial sites. Have lunch in Kigali, you will transfer northwards to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri. This is home to 360 Mountain Gorillas, the other half of gorillas located in Bwindi national park Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Gorillas view Hotel or La Palme Hotel or Muhabura Hotel or similar

Day 2: Kigali.

After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and packed lunch. Later proceed to the forest to track the gorillas, an activity that will take you 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the apes in their natural wild. After meeting and staying in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour, descend back to the headquarters, where the driver will meet you. Drive back to Kigali.
