5 Days Tanzania Treasures safari tour itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Drive from Arusha with packed lunch boxes to Tarangire National Park tour. This park is located 120 kms away from town. In this astonishing park, expect to see substantial herds of elephants gathering alongside the Tarangire River along with many others species of animals such as wildebeest, lions, buffaloes, zebras and prolific birds. Dinner and overnight at panorama or haven nature camp site.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the Olduvai Gorge, the place where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on kopje rock, proceed for afternoon game drives. Dinner and Overnight at Seronera Camp Site.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full-day Serengeti National Park tour where you can expect to see all kinds of animals. The national park derives its name from the Maasai Language and translates to endless plains. It hosts several animal and bird species such as the lion, elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, cheetah, warthog, hyena, and more. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Camp Site

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early morning and morning game drives in the Serengeti national reserve. Breakfast and lunch at the campsite. After lunch, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight at Simba Camp Site.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater which is one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Late in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
