8 Days Shadows of Egypt tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo airport, you will be met and greeted by our team and transferred to the hotel in our air-conditioned vehicle. After the check-in, you will have a brief meeting to review your holiday program. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids / Museum Tours

After breakfast, depart to Giza Plateau to visit one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus, famous Sphinx and Valley temple facing the great statue. You will have your lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, proceed to visit the Solar Boat in front of Cheops Pyramid (extra entrance fee). Proceed to Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and 1^st pyramid to be built called Djoser Pyramid. Later, proceed to Memphis which was the Old Kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing tours

After breakfast, drive to visit the Egyptian Museum with your lunch in one of the local restaurants. Later proceed to Islamic Cairo to visit Cairo’s oldest bazaar called Khan El Khalili. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 4: Aswan Tours

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic regular flight to Aswan. Upon arrival inAswan, you will met by our team and transferred to board the Dahabeya and start sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo which was dedicated to the crocodile god called Sobek and the falcon-headed god of the morning sun called Horus the elder. Dinner and overnight near Beshir Island on-board the Dahabeya.

Day 5: Gebel El Silsila

After breakfast on board the cruise, start sailing to Gabal El Silsila to visit Gabal El Silsila and Sandstone quarries. Proceed sailing to Fawaza Island. You will have your lunch on-boadr the dahabeya. Afternoon tea and snacks as you enjoy the magnificent sunset view. Dinner and overnight on-board the Dahabeya near Fawaza Island.

Day 6: Edfu

After breakfast on board, sail to Edfu to visit Edfu Temple which is one of the best preserved temples of Greco Roman era. Here, you will enjoy a ride on a horse drawn carriage ride back and forth to the temple. You will have your lunch on board as proceed sailing to El Kab Village to visit El Kab Temple. Dinner and overnight on board the Dahabeya on El Hegz Island which is near Esna.

Day 7: Esna

After breakfast, sail to Esna. Upon arrival, you shall disembark and transfer to visit Karnak Temple and Valley of the Kings. Later, transfer to Luxor Airport for your domestic regular flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by our team and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight back home
