9 Days Splendor of Egypt tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo airport, you will be met and greeted by our team and transferred to the hotel in our air-conditioned vehicle. After the check-in, you will have a brief meeting to review your holiday program. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids / Museum Tours

After breakfast, depart to Giza Plateau to visit one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus, famous Sphinx and Valley temple facing the great statue. You will have your lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, proceed to visit the Solar Boat in front of Cheops Pyramid (extra entrance fee). Proceed to Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and 1^st pyramid to be built called Djoser Pyramid. Later, proceed to Memphis which was the Old Kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing tours / Luxor

After breakfast, drive to visit the Egyptian Museum with your lunch in one of the local restaurants. Later proceed to Islamic Cairo to visit Cairo’s oldest bazaar called Khan El Khalili. Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival to Luxor, you will get transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Sofitel Winter Palace Hotel in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor Tours

After breakfast, transfer to transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic regular flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be met by our team and transferred to Esna to board the cruise for lunch and sailing to El Hegz Island. Afternoon tea and snacks as you enjoy the magnificent sunset view. Dinner and overnight on board the Nuun or Nuut Dahabiya cruise near El Hegz Island.

Day 5: El Kab Village & Edfu

After breakfast, proceed sailing to the city of El Kab to discover its secrets of the ancient walls, the temple and the rock-cut tombs from the new kingdom. You will have your lunch on board as you sail to Edfu. In edfu, you will enjoy a wonderful ride on a horse carriage through the village to the fantastic Temple of Horus which was one of the largest and best-preserved monuments of Egypt, 2 beautiful granite statues of the falcon god Horus. Continue sailing as you witness the lifestyle of the local farmers and fishermen. The Nile River provides very beautiful scenery of magic nature and green fertile landscapes with sugar cane fields, guava, banana and date palm trees. Dinner and overnight on board the Nuun or Nuut Dahabiya near El Ramady Island.

Day 6: Gabal El Silsela

After breakfast, you will visit the vegetable and fruits local market of El Ramady.  You will continue sailing with your lunch on board the cruise as you sail to Gabal El Silsela to visit the old Pharaonic quarries of Silsela with the unknown rock cut temple of Hormoheb. You will climb on top of the mountain to enjoy a breathtaking and memorable view. Proceed sailing to Basher Island. Dinner and Overnight on board the Nuun or Nuut Dahabiya at Basher Island.

Day 7: Kom Ombo & Herdiab Island

After breakfast, sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Haroeris, the Horus the Elder and the crocodile god of Sobek. This temple was built with 2 symmetric entrances, halls and sanctuaries. It is regarded as the only double temple in the whole of Egypt. Proceed sailing to Herdiab Island to enjoy your lunch and swimming at Herdiab sandy beach. Dinner and overnight on board the Nuun or Nuut Dahabiya near Aswan Bridge.

Day 8: Cairo

After breakfast, disembark from the cruise in Aswan and transfer to Aswan Airport for your domestic regular flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by our team and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino or similar in Cairo.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight back home
